Maths and God

For us in Maths with God, we see learning Mathematics as one of the ways to understand God's creation. We believe that Maths helps us to understand God's order, precision, and accuracy in His creation. 

Each session teaches Mathematical principles and processes with God at the center of it. All the learners are encouraged to see the world of Maths from a divine perspective. Maths helps us to understand the power, the principles and the person of Jesus. Learners are taught to see themselves as wonderfully and fearfully made, and because God is the mathematician, everyone He has created can understand Mathematics as it relates to their purposes in life. Everyone has gifts and talents from God, and each one of us is unique. 

The level of mathematical knowledge that we need is based on our gifts and talents, and no one is daft. Not everyone needs to learn high-level Maths, and we can grow to learn the level of Maths we need as we appreciate our gifts and talents and find the relevance of Maths in these areas. 

Maths anxiety and learning challenges can be overcome when we have the right perspective, cover any learning gaps, and practice our maths processes with joy. Rewarding ourselves as we grow in our mathematical reasoning and deduction, and doing the best we can to see Maths as fun, will go a long way in helping us to self-regulate and excel in Maths. Those with learning challenges in maths need to develop mathematical resilience and learn their unique ways of understanding Maths.
